ForestSEA advocates locally-based and low cost reforestation initiatives based on successful pilot projects that have established clear methods for replanting existing seedlings from indigenous canopy trees. The work is economically done by adjacent communities, who are used to working with their forests and need the industry provided.
Our team works voluntarily to promote solutions and build awareness for projects where investment and funding by partners in reforestation will be matched by a commitment from the authorities concerned to respect the permanence of the project.
ForestSEA is campaigning to build better local urban awareness of the value of Asia's magnificent jungles and the scientific potential for students across the world. We are actively lobbying to establish a world class University Of The Jungle in East Malaysia to help teach future generations why they should never repeat the mistakes of the past 50 years when it comes to the destruction and neglect of our most valuable natural habitats.
